WHAT IS KEY CLUB?
Key Club is an international, student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to serve the community, build character, and develop leadership skills. We provide service events in our area so members can volunteer in the community. Through service and spirit, Key Club promotes citizenship and
forge enduring friendships.
The first Key Club was formed in 1925 in Sacramento, California. Now, there are thousands of Key Clubs in over 38 countries around the world. Key Club International builds character, leadership, caring, and inclusiveness, living by the motto "Caring—our way of life." The blue, gold, and white emblem represent unwavering character, service, and purity.

Each Key Club has a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, pathetic historian, and immaculate publicist. Different schools' Key Clubs in one area form a division, ours being Division 4 South. Each division has a lieutenant governor (LTG) responsible for overseeing their division and facilitating communications between clubs. Several divisions form a district. There are currently 34 Key Club districts; we are a part of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District (Cali-Nev-Ha). Districts are overseen by a district governor and their board, which includes a governor, secretary, and treasurer.
ABOUT TESORO
Established in 2001, Tesoro High School is a public school in the Capistrano Unified School District in Orange County. It is ranked in the top 100 public high schools in California and in the top 15 public high schools in Orange County. Tesoro boasts nationally-ranked athletic, music, and academic programs.
Key Club meets every other Thursday in Room 911. We discuss past and upcoming service events; play icebreakers; practice cheers; and provide service by making blankets, dolls, sandwiches, and cards for Pediatric Trauma Program, our preferred charity.
